  • Half Life 2 - Speed Run

Another thing I've been doing while I've been on blog hiatus, aside from being in RPG land and GH wrist torment, I've been involved in watching a few speed runs. To be specific the entire Half-Life series of speed runs. What's a speed run? It's basic a hax where the player just goes through the whole game as fast as possible. It's great for people like me that don't have the time to go through the whole game but would still like to see how the game play is. Also, it's been really informative on how bad my motion sickness can get. Imma see if I can get some pills and re-watch some of these speed runs and see if they help. Something to consider if I'm watching a movie like Cloverfield in theaters and I'm not at home comfortably able to pause and rest, then continue. (yes, I watched Cloverfield at home on DVD). Some of the speed runs I've watched: Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 - Episode 1-3, Portal and I'm waiting for the next Half-Life. Why am I only looking at Half-Life? Well, it is a fab-tab-lous game!! It's great! I won't play because I'm a poor FPS (fraps) First Person Shooter, but I am able to watch others. Another speed run i've watched was Fear. Looks like I'm just enjoying myself watching FPS games. :D

Quote from part 2: "Good job, Gordon -- throwing that switch and all. I can see your MIT education really pays for itself."
