The Dark Knight Rises
*SPOILERS*
Christian Bale returns in his final installment of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy. The action is very good and compliments Christopher Nolan's ominous feel. Although, I felt that the story could go even further into a darker realm. I saw many references to Two Faced (aka Harvey Dent played by Aaron Eckhart) but I was very disappoint that there was no reference to Joker (played by Heath Ledger). I understand Heath Ledger made an unfortunate departure from the film industry and life itself, but I was looking forward to some sort of reference to his very existence in the Gotham City realm. I'm pleased to see the return of Alfred (Michael Caine), he plays the devote butler to Bruce Wayne. There was a part that I wish it could've elaborated where he vanished to before miraculously returning to Bruce's side at the very end. Anne Hathaway who played Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) played the role much better than the previous Catwoman (Halle Barry). She had a savvy, grace about her and I only wish that she could've been more sultry and had more scenes. I didn't much care for the haphazard love interest between Catwoman and Batman who just HAPPENED to find themselves together at the end. Also, it was a huge problem for me to accept that Bruce had a believable intimate relationship with Miranda Tate aka Talia al Ghul (Marion Cotillard). I didn't feel any connection between the two nor did I see much of any scenes that they were close aside from a fireside romp reminiscent to Tim Burton's Batman (Michael Keaton) with Vikki Vale (Kim Basinger). There wasn't even a reference to Miranda Tate in any of the earlier movies and I'm expected to believe they, Bruce and Miranda had a business relationship for a long time. At least she could've been referenced in the second movie, Batman Begins, while Batman was dealing with her father, Ra's al Ghul (Liam Neeson).

Hmm... I'm gonna have to argue the last woman to play Catwoman was Michelle Pfeiffer. The Halle Berry movie had as much to do with the Catwoman character from Batman as Turkish Rambo had to do with the character of Rambo from First Blood.
I'm hearing quite a bit about the lack of references to the Joker, which sounds odd. Unless Gotham continues to face a series of crises on par with the one orchestrated by the Joker it wouldn't make much sense.
@Lakakalo - yea I have to try to remember to wipe that hale berry cat woman out of my memories.
@deliccate - Acquiring and watching Turkish Rambo just might do that.
